Intensive Language Courses
Vier Motoren für Europa-Quatre Moteurs pour LEurope-Quattro Motori per LEuropa-Quatre Motors per a Europa-Four Motors for Europe
Within the framework of Interregional European Cooperation, the "Four Motors for Europe" regions Baden-Württemberg, Catalunya, Lombardia, Rhône-Alpes and Wales are offering intensive language courses in Catalan / Spanish, English, French, German, and Italian for staff of the regional Government institutions and higher education staff at the universities in the partner regions.
Fees for courses and cultural programme are paid by the "4 Motors" Governments. Participants are required to pay for their own travel, accommodation and subsistence costs.
In 2009, the course system is undergoing a process of re-organisation. Therefore, unfortunately, no English and Italian courses can be offered this year.
The courses offered in 2009 are:

German Course, August 22 (arrival) - September 5 (departure), Tübingen University Study Centre at Blaubeuren near Ulm

The full range of courses, including English and italian, is expected to be back in place in 2010.
Application Procedure
Applications are welcome from staff of the regional Government institutions and higher education staff at the universities in the five partner regions.

- Complete registration form; please also provide: i) A letter of recommendation from your immediate superior ii) Written confirmation of leave of absence from your place of work iii) A personal statement giving professional reasons for wishing to attend this course.
