The Department of Social Policy at the LSE has a long-standing concern with the economic and social problems of developing countries, in addition to its focus on British and European social welfare policy. It presently runs several MSc courses in development related areas such as Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries, Health, Population and Housing as well an active PhD programme.
