It covers the entire media spectrum

The backbone of the Institute are various closely affiliated chairs. They cover the entire media spectrum eg. from print and online media, radio, film and television, changing media landscapes and media innovation to advertising, marketing and corporate communication etc. The Institute has a major focus on interdisciplinary research and teaching: the technical and economic as well as socio-political, psychological and aesthetic aspects play a key role in the production and reception of the content. Our experts actively contribute to the international discourse and are very well connected with renowned media and communication studies chairs and research institutions worldwide. With such reputation, it is no wonder that the courses offered by our experts are in demand amongst students of other faculties as well, well beyond the department of media studies at the university of Tübingen.
