Guide to: Media relations
Press Releases
The Public Relations Department issues press releases on events and important developments at the University of Tübingen. It supports university members in the preparation and distribution of press releases.
However, not every topic is suitable for a press release – we will be happy to advise on which communication channel is suitable for your news. Possible reasons for a press release could be, for example: Current research results, major events, invitations to press conferences, prominent guests.
Important: Please contact us at least ten days before the planned publication date so that the press release can be sent to the media on time. As a basis for a press release, we need a first draft. We are also happy to include suitable image material for which you have the media rights.
Press conferences
We organize press conferences for and with you. We send out invitations and arrange the venue and the equipment.
Media representatives work under constant time pressure. So press conferences should only be held for selected topics – we will be happy to advise you on whether your topic is suitable. Press conferences are feasible, for example, for spectacular research results and major events.
Important: Please contact us at least two weeks before the event so that we can advise and support you with your communication measures.
