Core Facilities

Within the context of its Institutional Strategy, the University established three central scientific service facilities: the e-Science Centre for the Humanities and Social Sciences, the Center for Light-Matter Interaction, Sensors and Analytics (LISA+) for the material sciences, and the Quantitative Biology Center (QBiC) for the life sciences.

These Core Facilities provide the researchers from diverse disciplines with a top-class technical infrastructure and excellent services and bring together essential components of necessary research infrastructure. The goal is to coordinate the use of available highly complex technologies in different research institutions, including those outside of the University, thereby generating more effective use of synergies in research, training and knowledge transfer.
