Kerstin Pull is full professor at the University of Tuebingen since 2003, where she holds the chair of Human Resource Management and Organization. Kerstin Pull studied Economics at the University of Trier and at Clark-University (Worcester, USA). After that she worked as a researcher at the Institute of Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU). She held visiting positions at Stanford University (2001, 2007, 2012), the University of Zurich (2007) and the Max Planck Institute for Economics in Jena (2008) and teaching positions at the University of Vienna, the University of Zurich, LMU Munich, University of Trier, and the Otto Beisheim School of Management (Vallendar). From 2008 to 2010, Kerstin Pull was Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Tuebingen. From 2009 to 2013, she chaired the Committee on Education Economics (Bildungsökonomischer Ausschuss) in the German Economic Association (VfS), she is member of the advisory board on Vocational Education Research of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation and serves on the advisory boards of the Institut für Angewandte Wirtschaftsforschung (IAW, Tuebingen) and the Forschungsinstitut für Arbeit, Technik und Kultur Tübingen (FATK, Tuebingen). From 2013 to 2016 Kerstin Pull served on the advisory board of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education & Training (Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung – BIBB) in Bonn. From 2009 to 2016, she served as an editor of „Die Betriebswirtschaft“ (Schäffer Poeschel), and she still serves as an editor of „Empirical Research in Vocational Education & Training“ (Springer, since 2013). Other professional activities outside academia include her membership in the supervisory board of KPMG AG.
