Erasmus Students

 

Erasmus student should speak to or write and e-mail to a student advisor before coming to Tübingen, or when they get here, if they plan to take courses in the department.  Here are the advisors in our department:

If you are an Erasmus student there are several things you need to know about registering for courses:

 

  1. Registration for all courses takes place online via Campus and you can find a full list of all the courses there.
  2. Many instructors will want to speak to you directly before you sign up for their course, so please go to their office hours or write them an e-mail and let them know who you are and what course you want to take.

 

There is a special meeting at the beginning of each semester for Erasmus students to introduce you to our department.  Further information will appear here several weeks before each semester starts.

Writing Center

 

The Writing Center is a FREE center for all students studying English who want to improve their writing skills. The Writing Center is a place for students to come and get feedback and – very importantly – not be told what to do next, but to be asked intelligent questions by their tutor which lead them to understand for themselves where their weaknesses in reading and writing lie and what they need to do next. The Writing Center is located in room 468 of the Brechtbau.

Der Helpdesk bietet allen Studenten des Englischen Seminars ausführliche und persönliche Studienberatung an. Wir beantworten gerne praktische Fragen, die die Planung, Organisation und Durchführung des Studiums betreffen. Zusätzlich stehen wir zur Verfügung um über Prüfungsvorbereitung und Prüfungsbewältigung, Hausarbeiten und Lernstrategien zu sprechen.

Fachschaft

 

Wo wir mitwirken, zum Bespiel in Institutsbeirat, Fakultätsbeirat, Berufungskommissionen, und Studienkommissionen, haben wir als unabhängge Studierendenvertretung die Möglichkeit entscheidungen über die Studiengebührenverwendung, Lehrpläne, Studienordnung, und Neueinstellungen zu beinflüssen.  Wir Studierendenvertreter haben dabei das gleiche Stimm-, Rede- und Fragerecht wie jedes andere Mitglied des Seminars.Wir bieten auch Studienberatung und verschiedene Events an.  Komm einfach mal vorbei!
