Research Interests

My main research interest is evolution and ecology of coral reefs. During my PhD, I investigate the phenomenon of red fluorescence in coral reef fishes, which has been discovered by our group very recently. I try to elucidate functions of fluorescence in fishes as well as its genesis. For this purpose, I work both in the field (Red Sea) and with our marine aquaria systems in the laboratory.
