International Economic History Association (IEHA)

  • The IEHA has been established in 1960, and unites economic historians from almost 40 countries in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Every three or four years the IEHA organizes a World Economic History Congress. The association's next Congress will take place in Stellenbosch/ South Africa in 2012.
    At its meeting on August, 6th 2009 in Utrecht, the General Assembly of the International Economic History Association re-elected Professor Joerg Baten as Secretary General for three more years.
