International students who wish to gain admission to the University of Tübingen should send their completed applications for admission to:

Important: Students of German nationality (also dual citizens, German/other nationality), not residing in Germany are treated as German applicants and should apply for admission as German students. (Link Student Office)
Application deadlines for 1st term students:
for the summer term: 15th January
for the winter term: 15th July
Please Note: there are some exceptions to this rule for students starting Master Programmes: The following courses have different application deadlines: All Masters programmes in Economics (Master); Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience (Master); Peace Research and International Politics (Master); Legum Magister (LL.M.) Master of Law Postgraduate Study Programme; Master of Applied Environmental Geosciences (AEG)

- In many courses, international students are required to undergo an additional admissions suitability procedure before enrolment. The additional forms and information and a list of the courses specifying this are available under Student Office.
Application Exceptions:
1. Application for some subjects/courses (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry) must be processed through the Central Federal University Admissions Board in Dortmund (ZVS). Applicants from EU countries seeking admission to these subjects/courses are also required to send their applications to the (hochschulSTART)
2. International students with German High School Diploma (Abitur) (Bildungsinländer) send their applications to the Student Office. In the event that they are applying for courses (see list above) administered by the Central Federal University Admissions Board (hochschulSTART), then they should sent their applications to the ZVS. International Students who intend to continue their studies or resume their studies in Tübingen after a period of leave or students who wish to switch courses should apply for enrolment to the Academic Advisory Office here.
