The Graduate Academy
The University of Tübingen's Graduate Academy is made up of the graduate academies of the individual faculties, the Research Training Groups of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the PhD networks. PhD researchers are accepted by the Graduate Academy subject to the doctoral degree regulations of the respective faculty.
The goals of the Graduate Academy
- To improve the quality of training and academic support for junior researchers
- To advance interdisciplinary networking between PhD students
- To increase the number of international researchers at the University
- To qualify doctoral researchers for professional occupations outside academia
The Graduate Academy offers PhD students:
1.) Information about doctoral examination procedures at the University of Tübingen, including requirements for admission and enrollment.
2.) Financing of workshops, summer schools and winter schools
3.) Interdisciplinary qualification- and advanced-training programs in cooperation with the Career Services Office and the Forum Scientiarum
4.) Careers and grants counseling
- Assistance with travel and printing expenses
5.) Services
- Regular informal meetings of PhD students
