The Initiative For Better Teaching at the University of Tübingen

Dear Students,

As Vice-President of Academic Affairs, I am responsible for all matters of studies and teaching, including course design, accreditation of courses, further training of teaching staff, and the use of tuition fees.

I also see it as my job to ensure that the study and teaching conditions at the University continually improve. To that end, I founded the Initiative for Better Teaching in February 2008. I would like to invite you to take an active role in the improvement of study and teaching conditions. Please write to me if you have new ideas or suggestions, or if you wish to discuss an existing problem.

I feel it is important for students to have direct contact with the President’s Office as well as contact via student representatives. So if you have a particular question, further suggestions or feel that something is missing on these pages, you are welcome to contact me personally.
