Dear Lecturers, Seminar speakers and Participants in the Erice School on Nuclear Physics 2002,

Together with this last circular we are sending you the program and the preliminary list of participants of the
Erice School 2002.

I would like to remind you of some important details:
 

Fee:

The fee of 800 Euro covers costs in Erice including full board and lodging from dinner on Sept. 16th to breakfast
on Sept. 24th. Drinks and beverages, after dinner coffee, telefon calls, personal laundry, etc. are not covered by
the fee.

The fee should be paid either in Euro to:

or to the equivalent of 800 EURO in US-Dollars to the above account at least three weeks before to be sure the
payment is in Erice at the start of the School. Payment in cash is in principle possible at Erice, but it is strongly
advised to use bank transfer, since it turned out extremely time consuming to pay in Erice.

When payment is made the course (``Nuclear Physics 24th Course'') must be identified. Evidence of payment
should be produced at the time of registration in Erice. Participants which I have informed that they get a
fellowship from the EPS or the Centro Ettore Majorana (Erice fellowship) need not to pay. Fellows of the DFG
have to pay but get reimbursed after the school.
 

Time of arrival and accomodation:

Please inform the Centro ``Ettore Majorana'' about the exact time and the flight number of your arrival at
Palermo Airport on Sept. 16, 2002. Arrive before 15 o'clock in the afternoon, so that the Centro ``Ettore
Majorana'' can arrange your transport from the airport to Erice (100km) with an arrival in Erice before
5 o'clock pm. Send your arrival information by fax to:

You also have to indicate if you bring members of your family with you. Each family member has to pay the
fee for food and lodging of 800 Euro.

The Centro ``Ettore Majorana'' is responsible for all organizational details in Erice (apart from the scientific
program). Operations in Erice are in the hands of Mrs. Fiorella Ruggiu whom you should contact
for any specific local need.

You must, as already mentioned above, inform the Center about the flight number and the time of your arrival
on Sept. 16 at Palermo Airport. If you do not inform the Center about the time of your arrival, you will not be
picked up on September 16. The transportation on Sept. 24 to the airport will be organized during your
stay in Erice. Transportation at other dates is in your own responsibility.

If, by any chance, you do not find yourself on the list of participants and you want to participate or if the title of
your talk in the enclosed program is not correct, you should contact , preferentially by e-mail

Scientific program:

In addition to the lectures and seminars contained in the program we have on three afternoons workshops
organized by the lecturers. If you want to speak in one of the workshops, you should contact one of the lecturers
listed there. Each participant can speak only once. The addresses are in the list of participants. Normally four
speakers can speak in each workshop. Workshop talks are 15 minutes each plus 5 minutes for discussions.
 

Proceedings:

The proceedings of the School will be published as volume 50 of ``Progress in Particle and Nuclear Physics''
(by Elsevier). The manuscripts have to be prepared in camera-ready form (format: 27 cm high and 18.5 cm wide;
see``www.elsevier.nl/locate/ppnp'') and to be sent in two hardcopies by airmail (DO NOT BEND!) to:

I look forward to see you in Erice on Sept. 16, 2002 in the evening. The lectures start in the morning on
Sept. 17 at 9 o'clock. To get accommodated in Erice you should plan to arrive in Erice before 5
o'clock in the afternoon on Sept. 16, 2002. The last bus leaves at 15 h from Palermo airport.
