The Chair is suitable for scholars who have had little or no prior experience with Germany. It is not available to scholars who have had a grant to Germany within the past 5 years. The Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen has a strong American Studies program and cooperates closely with the German-American Institute (DAI) in Tübingen and the Baden-Württemberg branch of the Berlin American Academy.
