International Economic History Association

Welcome to the homepage of the International Economic History Association (IEHA)! The IEHA has been established in 1960, and unites economic historians from almost 40 countries in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Today the seat of the Associaction is Utrecht. The aims of the IEHA are to maintain and develop personal contacts between scholars interested in economic history and to encourage all forms of research and publications relevant to the development and diffusion of economic history.
Every three or four years the IEHA organizes a World Economic History Congress. The next World Economic History Congress will take place from 9-13 July 2012 in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Executive Committee meeting 2011

During its meeting in November 2011, the EC of the IEHA decided about the session proposals of the second call. 113 session proposals were submitted: 71 were accepted.

The Asia-Pacific Economic and Business History Conference 2013

The Asia-Pacific Economic and Business History conference takes place 14-16 February 2013 in Seoul. Papers can be submitted until November 30, 2012.

Executive Committee meeting 2010

During its meeting in November 2010, the EC of the IEHA decided about the session proposals of the first call. 114 session proposals were submitted: 59 were accepted and 24 received a 'revise and resubmit'. A list of the accepted session proposals is published on the WEHC 2012 Homepage.
