Awards

In 1989, for his scientific work in the field of Lantibiotics, Prof. G. Jung was awarded the Max-Bergmann Medallion.

In 1992 he received the Leonidas Zervas Award of the European Peptide Society for distinguished contributions in the field of Peptide Chemistry.

He received the title "Ordinarius" from the president of the ministry (1997).

In 2000, he received the Akabori Memorial Award from the Japanese Peptide Society.

And in 2003, he received the ESCS-Award of the European Society of Combinatorial Sciences.
