Contagiousness

Partial isolation

In this section, it is determined from when to when cases are (partially) isolated and how this affects their contact rates.

Moderately sick cases [%] determines the reduction of contacts of moderately sick cases during their isolation.
Moderately sick cases [%] determines the reduction of contacts of severely sick cases who are taken care of at home during their isolation.
Severe cases (hospital) [%] determines the reduction of contacts of severely sick hospitalized cases during their isolation.
Begin on day specifies the day when all these isolations begin.
End on day specifies the day when all these isolations end.

Cross-references

The effect of isolations on the course of the epidemic is influenced by the courses of disease and the accompanying average degrees and duratins of contagiousness.
The effect of the isolation of hospitalized patients depends on the frequency at which patients have to be hospitalized, of the time when patients seek medical help and are sent to the hospital, and also from the question whether such patients receive antiviral treatment and how many hospitalizations can be prevented by such treatment.
