The user may chose from several parameter tabs. |
For each block of parameters, there is a separate help file which may accessed via the help index and which can also be reached via links from other help pages. |
After each change of a slider position, a new simulation starts and the new results are depicted on the output side. |
Alternatively to moving the slider, the user can also type in the parameter value directly into an input field which usually is located left to the slider. Parameter values which lie outside of the given bounds (i.e. the values on the left and right hand side of the sliders) will not be accepted. Instead of such an illigitimate value, the maximum or minimum value of the range will be used (see also next item). |

The user may chose from several graph tabs. |
Each graph tab consists of a set of output curves and a corresponding data table. |
When moving the mouse into the graph and pressing the left mouse button, a vertical line will appear in the graph and the corresponding table will immediately jump to the position which is indicated by this vertical line, so that the user may easily read the height of the curves at that time from the table. |
Alternatively, the user may use the table's scrollbar to navigate within the table. Again, the vertical line will appear and indicate the part of the curve which corresponds to the first visible data line in the table. |
The currently displayed section of the simulation can be changed by the user by pulling up a rectangle within the graph area by moving the mouse pointer from left to right, holding the right mouse button pressed. Restoring the graph to the original full version can be done by the same procedure, but pulling from right to left instead. |
When moving the mouse to the border between parameter input and graphical output, the mouse pointer changes and allows to shift this border to the left or right. |
Similarly, the amount of space allocated to the graph and the table can be shifted. |
Any output graph of the GUI can be enlarged by double-clicking on its header and restored again by double-clicking once more. |
Any output graph of the GUI can be pulled to any other place inside or outside the GUI. |
