Below you will find a compilation of publications by specialists or authorized positions from various fields of archaeological sciences (Greek Studies, Anatolian Science, Mycenology and Prehistory) concerning the topics of the rebukes by the classical historian Frank Kolb (2001/2). Emphasis is put on actuality i.e. publication after the Tübingen Symposium in February 2002.
The compilation is provided for all those who want to form their own opinion over and above the headlines of daily newspapers concerning the dispute about interpretations and methods which arose from the media hype connected with the Troia-Exhibition (2001/2002) which found considerable public attention. The dispute culminated in the symposium "The importance of Troia in the late Bronze Age" organized by the University of Tübingen in February 2002 *. The contents of the quoted papers do not necessarily reflect the positions of Manfred Korfmann or members of the Troia Project.
The range of papers shall be augmented by the publication phase of the Troia excavation project which in the next two to three years will produce many individual contributions (e.g.dissertations) that will clarify many presently disputed questions. Naturally we will not pre-empt their conclusions.
At any rate the invitation to all skeptics
still holds to visit Troia (please arrange with the project secretary)
in order to obtain a direct impression of the available actual facts.
Foremost some important publications of the years 2004/2005 are listed that mainly relate to the English-speaking area. Some papers are made available as PDF-files with kind permission of the respective publishers, since they may not be readily available in printed form.

From the viewpoint of the Troia-Project these latest above publications contain an exhaustive and sufficient treatment of all aspects of the controversy. At the present state of research nothing more needs to be said.
