Studia Troica
is an interdisciplinary periodical devoted to the theme "Troia and the
Troad, Archaeology of a Region". Emphasis is on archaeological investigations
from the earliest periods through classical times as well as on research
in related disciplines concerning Troia and its surroundings.
Annual preliminary reports on the new excavations at Troia form the journal´s nucleus. Anyone interested in the archaeology of Troia can be sure of finding the most recent information here. So that communication across disciplines may be facilitated, Studia Troica also publishes articles in related humanistic and other scientific fields. Articles are published in English or German. Starting 2006 editors are: Peter Jablonka, Ernst Pernicka und Charles Brian Rose. With the planned transition to the phase of end publications of completed research objectives the Studia Troica - Monographs appear as supplements to the yearbook series.(See also Editorial to StTroica 16). The first volume in this series is:Maureen A. Basedow: Besik Tepe. Das spätbronzezeitliche Gräberfeld. (Verlag Philipp von Zabern, 2000, 245 pages. ISBN 3-8053-2554-1). Second volume: Donald F. Easton: Schliemann´s Excavations at Troia 1870 - 1873. (Verlag Philipp von Zabern, 2002, 419 pages. ISBN 3-8053-2767-6). Studia Troica have appeared anually since 1991 in the Verlag Philipp von Zabern, Mainz, and are available in bookshops. Available are vol. 1 (1991) through vol. 18 (2009). The size of the volumes varies between 200 and 400 pages - vol.7 has 572 pages ! Publication is generously supported by James H. Ottaway, Jr., New York, by the Taft Semple Fund, Cincinnati and by the Philipp von Zabern Foundation, Mainz. Scientific contributions by authors not
directly connected with the excavation are highly welcome if they are relevant

The tables of contents as well as the abstracts of all articles in all the published volumes can be viewed in our pages in German and in English.
