| The division of Animal Genetics belongs to the Interfaculty Institute for Cell Biology (IFIZ) (besides the departments of Immunology, Molecular Biology & Quantitative Proteomics). The division contributes to teaching of the subjects Genetics, Developmental Genetics and Cell Biology to students of Biology and Bioinformatics, and it organizes the lecture and the practical course Biology for Medical Students (Biologie für Mediziner).
Main subjects of the research are the molecular mechanisms underlying organogenesis and cell migration as well as the evolution of developmental processes. |
