European Association of Researchers on Federalism

In addition to scientific analysis the Centre is equally involved in consulting actors in politics, public administrations and companies. The ECRF regards the combination of theory and practice, transnational co-operation and interdisciplinary orientation of research as essential for its work.

To this end, the activities of the Centre include the establishment of research and personal networks. The ECRF founded the European Association of Researchers on Federalism (EARF), which includes about 70 scientists from the member states of the European Union, Switzerland and the states of Central and Eastern Europe. The Centre functions as the co-ordinator of this network and serves as administrative nexus.

Networking

The exchange between the members of the EARF is mainly realized through the Network of Yearbook authors, coordinated by the ECRF. It also replaces the former Electronic Who is who and serves as a central contact point for representatives from research, politics and administration and the media looking for federalism research experts.
