So you want to come to Germany? You dream of experiencing the wonders of life in another land. You dream of learning to speak a foreign language fluently. You dream of passsing hours in a German beer garden discussing world issues with your legions of foreign friends... Dream On!Well maybe that is a little harsh. You will probably experience many of these things. The point is that many of your expectations about what your life will be like in Germany are wrong.
So what should you expect when you get to Tübingen? How will your life work? How will you survive? How will you ever learn to work a German washing machine... We are here to tell you. While we obviously cannot cover everything, and much of how your life functions depends upon you, this guide will try and cover some survival basics which will hopefully allow you to arrive in Tübingen with some semblance of a clue.
