Ritter Sport factory visit (24-01-05)

RITTER SPORT (Amazing Chocolates)

Our visit to Ritter Sport was very short. One of the shortest factory tours ever. We couldn't go on tour of the factory because of hygienic reasons, so instead we watched a video. The video showed us how chocolates are made and it was fascinating to know that chocolate goes through so many processes. No wonder they taste so good.

Ritter Sport produces 2 million bars of chocolate per day and has 770 employees that work in 3 shifts. More than 20 different types of chocolates are produced, some of them being seasonal. About 20 - 30% are exported to over 60 countries. This was my first visit to a chocolate factory and I found it very informative. Thank you Barbara.
