Applied Econometrics:
|
| Aim of this course: |
The scope of this course is to provide a basic understanding
of the most powerful analytical tools to answer important questions in
the field of economic history and development economics. We also stress
the importance of these methods to study current economic problems.
Note that the first part of the course will be held weekly and will contain six to eight sessions. After achieving a basis knowledge of econometrics, students can choose from a list of topics that includes several applications in development economics and economics history. Thereby, we focus on the long-term development of economic growth and well-being. We require that students write a term-paper (up to 18 pages) and present their work; thereby, the term paper can be written in German or English. |
