Economics of population during the 19th and 20th Century

This lecture is aimed to focus on various issues of economics of population. Many agrarian societies still depend on family labour and in this context children are assets. Contrastingly, in many European countries fertility is decreasing dramatically. In this context, this course should give a broad understanding of relation between population and economy by focusing on fertility, mortality, women, education, and development.
