The comprehensive promotion of young scientists- especially female scientists- is at the heart of our concept for the future.
Funding of over 17 million Euros within a five-year period was applied for in order to enable-
- The rapid expansion of the Graduate Academy and further measures to promote research-oriented training.
- The establishment of independent Junior Research Groups.
- The appointment of outstanding young scientists- especially women– to Junior professorship posts (W1 with „tenure track“).
Due to the early establishment of W1 Professorships, Junior Researchers will get the best chance to establish themselves in their research fields.
By specifying a 50% quota of professorships to be filled by women, the university will also benefit by accelerating the implementation of its Gender Equality program.
- Targeted assistance to promising young researchers with project-based funding.
