Youngeun Koo holds an MSc in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford. Her research interests include migration, adoption and transnationalism; family, welfare and state; questions of belonging and identity. Her doctoral project looks at the development of transnational adoption from South Korea, with a particular focus on the period from the mid-1950s to the late 1980s. At Tübingen, she also convenes BA courses on Korean migration and adoption.
