International Consortium for Climate Change Education and Education for Sustainable Development

Hector Research Institute is a founding member

On June 15, 2023, the International Consortium for Climate Change Education and Education for Sustainable Development (ICCE) was officially founded at University of Education in Freiburg. 

The Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology is represented as a founding member together with the Competence Center for Sustainable Development of the University of Tübingen.

The aim of the ICCE is to gain empirically sound knowledge about the effectiveness and conditions for success of education for sustainable development and climate education in international cooperation. In doing so, all consortium universities are also concerned to make this knowledge available and usable for educational practice and to promote the interaction between science and society in the sense of the Third Mission.
