Laura Braschoß wrote her master thesis in the SPACY group on the characterization of hydroclimatic changes between the pre-industrial period and the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). In the thesis, she investigated thermodynamic and dynamical influences on the hydrological cycle using MPI-ESM1.2-LR simulation data. She is currently working on analyzing the state-dependency of the hydrological cycle and its forcings for different climate states (LGM, mid-Holocene, future with increased carbon dioxide emissions). She also supports the NFDI4Earth pilot project "Propagating complex uncertainties in data cubes".

Research interests

  • state and time scale-dependency of climate variability
  • climate variability and extremes
