The DMV Media Award, endowed with € 5,000, recognises outstanding achievements in the communication and popularisation of mathematics; it can also go to researchers who successfully conduct public relations work. The Media Prize for 2023 was awarded to Prof. Dr. Carla Cederbaum for her original science communication projects for various target groups. Her projects include, for example, the mathematics game GANITA for lower school students, the "Snapshots of Modern Mathematics" on current research at the Mathematical Research Institute Oberwolfach for upper school teachers and students, as well as workshops and courses for interested members of the public, student teachers and refugees, as well as several popular science books, e.g. "How to unmask a chocolate thief...".
