To be eligible for admission, applicants must have:

• a B.Sc. degree with a grade of 2.5 or better (German grading system)
• for applications with a Bachelor's degree that was obtained in a natural science other than biology: at least equivalents of 30 ECTS credits in subjects relevant to the Master's degree program, e.g. neurobiology and behavior, animal physiology, zoology
• evidence of English language knowledge (level B2 minimum):
  • TOEFL (79 IBT or 550 PBT)
  • IELTS 6,5
  • IB Diploma with English as teaching language
  • Cambridge Certificate FCE, CAE, CPE, level B2 or higher
  • a recognized higher education entrance qualification obtained in English and in a country whose official language is English
  • BSc degree from a country with English as offical language
  • notification of English level B2 or higher on higher education entrance qualification, e.g. Abiturzeugnis
•  a German language certificate (only international applications, level A2 minimum): 
  • Goethe A2
  • Telc A2
  • ÖSD A2
  • German as native language
  • BSc degree with German as teaching language

Applications are ranked according to the grades of the Bachelor's degree. Boni are granted for

• completed vocational training, e.g. as a technical assistant (BTA, CTA, MTLA, etc.)
• scientific awards related to biology
• publications in scientific journals (peer reviewed journals) related to biology or similar disciplines

The necessary documents have to be submitted toghether with your application. Documents submitted after deadline cannot be taken into account.

In case that some grades, e.g. for your BSc thesis, are missing, you can still apply. The final grade can be handed in later but MUST be provided by the 31 of December of the same year.
