28.06.24 - Workshop: "Form and Content"

In the context of the Research Unit De/Sacralization of Texts, a number of workshops take place that are related to so-called fields of tensions. One such field is based on the tension between form and content, i.e. the question how the formal features and its aesthetic quality interact with the meaning of a text. Are there dominant speech acts in a text? Is it possible to identify rhetorical profiles and patterns? Which genre(s) is (are) pre-dominant? Can particular intertextual links be identified or narrative techniques? The workshop will address these questions from a range of perspectives that will reflect the disciplines that partake in the Research Unit.
