WeNet pilot study

Afghan women test the WeNet chatbot

The International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW) at the University of Tübingen will launch pilot activities together with the non-profit organization Zan e.V. in Frankfurt, Germany. The participants of the pilot are Afghan women who have fled their country and are getting accustomed to social life in Frankfurt, a vibrant city in Germany. During the women’s arrival and integration, the WeNet chatbot “Ask for Help” can be a useful tool to connect with other Afghan women to share experiences and knowledge. The pilot activities will explore how the WeNet chatbot can accommodate the needs of Afghan refugee women, considering literacy and language barriers as well as cultural and socio-economic dynamics. The Dari version of the chatbot will be tested over several months in spring 2022.
