Fanyi Zeng

Fanyi Zeng is a research scientist and doctoral candidate at the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology. She is currently exploring motivation and self-regulated learning in higher education. Guided by the Motivational Theory of Life Span Development (Heckhausen et al., 2010), her research investigates the "who, when, why, how" of employing primary and secondary control strategies. She aims to identify individual and contextual predictors and assess academic and mental health outcomes associated with these motivational strategies.
