Best Paper Award to Michael Niemeyer and Prof. Andreas Geiger at CVPR 2021
From 2D to 3D: Thanks to AI, computers can now see photos in three dimensions.
For their conference paper "GIRAFFE: Representing Scenes as Compositional Generative Neural Feature Fields", Michael Niemeyer, PhD student at the International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS), and Prof. Andreas Geiger were awarded the Best Paper Award at this year's Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR). CVPR is one of the most renowned international conferences in the field of computer vision with about 7500 submissions.
