Laser Scanning Microscopy

With the laser scanning microscopes and ultra-fast lasers of our members, we can analyze chemical bonds and photo-physical properties on surfaces with extremely good spatial and temporal resolution.

Chemical bonds are mainly analyzed by Raman spectroscopy. Depending on the required resolution and sensitivity different systems are available:

  • Commercial Raman spectrometers
  • Confocal scanning laser microscopy
  • Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)
  • Tip Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (TERS)

Ultrafast lasers are available for spectroscopy with the highest temporal resolution.
