Fortágh group: Quantum Optics & Ultracold Atoms

The experimental research group of József Fortágh deals with the physics of degenerated quantum gases, the interaction between ultracold atoms and macromolecules as well as the coupling of atoms to superconducting and mechanical nano instruments. Close cooperation and common projects exist with the research groups of Zimmermann (quantum optics), Kleiner/Kölle (atom/superconductor hybrid structures, nano structuring, thin film deposition, cryo techniques) and KernFleischer (nanostructuring, thin film deposition). The experimental research is supplemented by the theoretical works of the Schopohl research group. Joint lectures and seminars are given with R. Kleiner, D. Kölle, and C. Zimmermann.
